project Overview:

this project aims to design and implement an AI-based system to improve the sorting, identification, and processing of recyclable materials. This system aims to increase the efficiency and accuracy of recycling operations, reduce contamination in recycling streams, and enhance the sustainability of waste management practices.

- Development of an AI model capable of identifying and sorting various types of recyclable materials (plastics, metals, paper, etc.) through image recognition technology.

- Integration of the AI model with existing or newly designed conveyor systems for automated sorting.

- Implementation of a user interface (UI) for monitoring and managing the AI system’s performance.

Project Objectives:

1.Enhance Recycling Efficiency: Improve the speed and accuracy of sorting recyclable materials by at least 30%.

2. Reduce Contamination: Achieve a significant reduction in contamination rates within recycled materials by implementing precise sorting mechanisms.

3. Increase Recycling Rates: Encourage higher rates of recycling among communities by demonstrating improved efficiency and effectiveness in processing recyclables.

4. Educational Outreach: Develop educational programs aimed at increasing public awareness about recycling practices and the importance of reducing contamination in recyclables.

5. Innovation & Scalability: Create a scalable AI solution that can be adapted for use in various contexts, from small-scale community recycling centers to large industrial waste management facilities.
